The Middlesex County Rotary Club celebrated our 25th birthday in spring of 2022!   (see photo below)
The Deltaville Community Center was the venue for this special occasion.   Club members enjoyed a fun-filled evening of wonderful food, reminiscing, and good times with several founding members of our club.

Some of our other Club's social and networking activities are pictured below.  Others are described on our Service Projects page.  These include our Pride of Middlesex Dinner,  Progressive Dinners, Flags for Heros, distribution of Vial of Life materials throughout the community, raising funds to donate the cost of a water well  to Middlesex Habitat for Humanity, the annual Rotary Speech Contest.

All Proceeds in 2019 were donated to Kids First and Love4Kids.   These dinners have become a very popular annual event!   Because of the COVID-19 pandemic we have had been unable to schedule our next dinner.   We look forward to the time when health restrictions deem it safe to do so.

Yes, indeed, we were as happy as we look here!   Happy to enjoy good food and grateful for the fellowship that also signified for many of us some semblance of pre-pandemic normalcy.

Lou Belcher (shown at right with Jerry Suyes and the July 27, 2015 Southside Sentinel article titled “March for unity deemed ‘a start'”) told of “more than 60 people [who] rallied for racial unity…” following the June shooting in Charleston. SC. At Rotary Belcher further addressed racial unity and said he hoped the upcoming "Unity Day Festival" could be an annual event to foster diversity, economic development and provide the opportunity for Middlesex County residents to meet and be with each other.

Tom Kinney (L), Kids First Foundation President (shown here with President Jerry Suyes) and Dave Dustin, Vice President, described how they are expanding this wonderful program to Middlesex County.  Kids First is a non-profit organization offering at-risk 3 year old children in rural areas an opportunity to benefit from special early childhood learning and nutrition programs.
